Chameleon Net to redesign home page for University of Portsmouth (05/03/2009)
The University of Portsmouth has chosen London digital agency Chameleon Net to redesign the home page of its website, as a first stage in the University's comprehensive review of its online presence.
Regarded as one of the higher education sector's most professional marketers, with THE commending its high standard of communications in last week's edition, the University adopts a customer-focused approach in its communications with potential students emphasising the need for accurate information, in line with specific audience needs at the right time.
Claire Brookes, Head of Corporate Communications at the University of Portsmouth says Chameleon Net's understanding of the needs of universities & student expectations was a "vital" factor in their selection criteria.
Marketing staff at the University were impressed by Chameleon Net's work for other HE institutions across the UK, in particular the modern, dynamic look and feel it has created for Bucks New University.
"Finding a digital agency that understands the needs of universities and student expectations was vital", explained Claire Brookes, Head of Corporate Communications at the University of Portsmouth. "Chameleon Net's knowledge and experience of our sector, along with its technical and design skills, are the reasons we have chosen to work with this agency."
Commenting on the new contract, Daryl Irvine, Creative Director at Chameleon Net said, "The University of Portsmouth demands high standards across all its marketing platforms so we're naturally delighted to be entrusted with this key part of its online presence. Looking beyond this initial phase, we're also excited about the potential to work with Portsmouth across its wider internet marketing objectives."
